Bruce Lee: Homecoming Exhibition Opens at His Childhood Address With New Permanent Statue and Unseen Photos

A major exhibition celebrating Bruce Lee’s life and legacy opens at the Prudential Centre in Jordan—the very site of his childhood home at 218 Nathan Road, where the Lee family resided upon returning to Hong Kong in 1941.

Titled “Bruce Lee: Homecoming – 85 Years Later,” the exhibition marks the 85th anniversary of Bruce Lee’s arrival in Hong Kong as a four-month-old infant in April 1941. Curated by Hong Kong-based art advisor Heiman Ng, the showcase features the unveiling of “Be Like Water,” a new 1:1 scale statue of the martial arts icon—the first of its kind to be installed permanently at his actual childhood address.

The exhibition also presents a curated collection of previously unseen photographs and films, offering an unprecedented look into Lee’s early years in Kowloon, his family life, and his artistic journey. The exhibition is co-organised by hmvod and supported by the Bruce Lee Foundation.

“This exhibition inhabits the place where my father’s journey began,” said Shannon Lee, Chairperson of the Bruce Lee Foundation. “My wish is that all who pass through feel his spirit continuing to inspire them to find their flow.”

The exhibition runs through May 31, with free admission.
