Hong Kong’s newest harborfront development, Central Yards, has transformed a temporary pedestrian passageway connecting IFC Mall and the Central Ferry Piers into an immersive art experience. The installation, titled “100 colors no. 54 ‘FLOW,’” was created by renowned French architect and artist Emmanuelle Moureaux.

Approximately 4,000 hand-crafted, colorful cut-outs in 100 different shades adorn the ceiling above the entrance from IFC Mall. The layered, floating numerals are arranged vertically along a timeline from 2027 to 2032, echoing the launch of Central Yards’ Phase 1 and Phase 2. The words “Central Yards” are woven into the installation, creating a three-dimensional environment that gives pedestrians the sensation of walking through a dynamic time tunnel.

Central Yards is a 1.6 million square foot development inspired by the concept of “The Bridge,” designed to blend commerce, culture, and lifestyle. When complete, it will feature experiential retail, premium office space, a Broadway-calibre theater, event venues, and extensive public green spaces.
