Janet Tsang (@wonderwithlight) is an intuitive guide who acts as a tour guide for the inner world. Blending a decade of corporate strategy with profound intuitive gifts, she creates experiences that help others reconnect with their truth through creativity, play, and channeled wisdom—most beautifully expressed in her “Letters from the Universe.”

What’s your official title?
Reflecting on my journey up to this moment, I see myself as a tour guide for the inner world — so, I guess I am an intuitive guide! I create offerings and experiences that help people reconnect with their inner landscape and rediscover the truth of who they are, through creativity and play.
My work is about building a bridge: a bridge that invites people to cross into the depths of their heart and explore the brilliance of their inner world.
Sometimes on these journeys, we are rediscovering all the things we’ve been passionate about since childhood — things we may have forgotten along the way.
Other times, we uncover hidden blockages that have been limiting us from living our fullest, and together we discover breakthroughs and explore new possibilities.
I guide people to the depths I’ve traveled, and because I’ve been there, I can create experiences that help them explore those spaces for themselves. Of course, I can only show them the path with the tools I use; what they discover and take away is uniquely their own. It’s a bit like traveling: the tour guide can take you to a place, but the experience and the insights — they are yours alone.

What is your background? How did you start working in the reading / channeling space? How did you discover your special powers?
My career began in corporate training, spending a decade in the luxury industry and working with regional teams across APAC. During those years, I honed skills in strategic planning, staff development, and designing and facilitating training programs. While I found success, I longed for something more — something deeper, something more meaningful.
That curiosity led me down a rabbit hole of exploration: first coaching, then Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and finally intuitive tarot — or maybe it found me, when a friend gifted me a deck of oracle cards just as I was considering a workshop. I’m grateful for this path, as it allows me to blend corporate strategy with intuitive guidance, creating a new way of supporting others on their journeys.
It took time to trust my intuitive gifts. I learned tarot in 2019, but it wasn’t until 2024, during a five-day retreat immersed in nature, that I truly acknowledged my channeling abilities. It was the trees that convinced me — I could hear the wisdom they wanted to share.
That’s when I realized the method didn’t matter, the tool didn’t matter; what mattered was that the Universe is always speaking to us — through nature, through symbolism, through synchronicity — but what mattered was whether I had emptied myself enough to notice and hear the quiet whispers that had always been there.
The truth is, I don’t have special powers. We all have intuition, awareness. What I’ve learned is that it’s not about how much you know or how often you practice, but how much you can unlearn and create space to receive.
In the experiences and journeys I offer, it’s not so much about teaching a skill, but about creating the space for you to trust what comes through for yourself. It’s about holding the container where intuition and awareness can surface, and noticing what has been there the whole time.
Please tell us more about your Letters from the Universe.
It is one of my offerings, and my favorite thing in the whole world. Imagine offering a question to the Universe, and receiving a reply in the form of a love letter.
Since learning and working with tarot, I began journaling every morning with cards as my reflection. The answers I needed would always come through these entries — filled with wisdom, unconditional love, and gentle truths that helped me see the present moment more clearly. One day, I thought: What if I shared this with others? What if these words could come through not just for me, but for someone else? That’s how Letters from the Universe was born.

There’s something so intimate about writing and receiving letters — it feels more sacred, like the words carry a certain weight because they’re written. Whenever I channel a letter for someone, I can feel so much love pouring through, showing me how to see each question, each situation through the eyes of love and compassion. Through this process, I’ve learned that there’s no good or bad — only perspective — and there’s always a way to see with love. I feel deeply grateful and honored to be a vessel for that love, allowing it to flow through me and reach the hearts of others.
If I had to describe this letter as an energy, it feels like a warm hug from the Universe, embracing you and all your worries, and letting them gently dissolve into love, reminding you that everything is okay.
What does channeling mean?
Channeling, for me, is the practice of quieting the mind, emptying myself, and allowing wisdom to flow in. It’s not about thinking up answers; it’s about creating space to notice the intuitive prompts that arise. Sometimes these come as stories, images, movie scenes, cartoon characters, colors, or even songs. That’s why there’s always a song dedicated to you in the Letters from the Universe!
It’s almost like a game of riddles with the Universe: sometimes I need to explore why a certain character appeared in my mind’s eye, look up its story or background, or check the lyrics of a song — and then be completely blown away by how it all connects to the situation at hand.
Channeling doesn’t only happen through divination. It’s in art, drawing, dancing, or even in your everyday life.
Channeling doesn’t only happen through divination. It’s in art, drawing, dancing, or even in your everyday life. It’s any time you open your heart and let your feelings, curiosity, and that spark of inspiration guide you, instead of letting your mind limit you with “how things should be.” In that sense, all creations are channeled.
Why do you think you can channel best through the written form? How is it different from other forms of channeling?
One of the reasons why I channel best through writing, is because I have journaled all my life. When I write, it feels like opening a door to connect with my childhood self, sitting in her pastel yellow bedroom, listening to her favorite CD mix, pouring her heart into her little diary. It is on those blank pages that I allow myself to be completely honest, to share my deepest secrets. Writing connects me to that pure, unfiltered energy; there’s no censoring of “how things should be,” how life should be, or how an adult should be.
The words flow in, and my hand often moves faster than my mind can think.

When I write, the words flow in, and my hand often moves faster than my mind can think. It bypasses the gates of the conscious mind — the doubts about whether it’s correct or proper — and allows the wisdom to come through naturally.
What are some tools that you work with to help you with the process?
What I love about writing Letters from the Universe, or offering any kind of experience, is that it’s not just a service, but an entire ritual.
I begin by emptying myself through a grounding meditation. I then select crystals to set up a crystal mandala grid to support the channeling. I tune in to see which decks feel most aligned for the day, and after saying an intention prayer, I shuffle and draw one card from each deck. I wear white as an intention to be an open and clear channel, allowing the Universe to share exactly what it wants through me.
On a large blank sheet of paper, I let the messages flow through me in automatic writing, filling both sides. When typed into a digital copy, a song often comes to me, its lyrics adding another layer of guidance before the letter reaches the recipient.
I do all of this as part of the ritual, not because it’s required, but because each layer of intention adds depth and magic, and a lot more fun! It transforms the process into a meaningful practice, creating a channel where wisdom can flow naturally and the energy of the Universe can be held gently for the recipient.
You mention storytelling is one mode of delivery that you like to work with. Can you walk us through how that might look?
When I pull a card, I begin by letting its imagery tell me a story. I ask myself: What’s happening here? Who’s the main character? What’s their relationship with the others? What do they want to say or show me? Sometimes, I even “interview” the characters to see what they might share. And sometimes they don’t want to share anything with me because they are too deep in their emotions!

I think this comes naturally to me because, as a child, I loved playing with stuffed animals — and I had and still have quite a few of them —each with their own name, backstory, and personality. Growing up, I was always crafting stories through symbols and characters. It wasn’t just play; it was like creating an entire imaginary world with them.
As I follow the clues intuitively, a narrative begins to unfold. It’s about giving the story space to develop rather than rushing to “find the answer.” Often, the answer is already woven within the story itself — I just need to relate it back to the question and share it with the recipient.
I really like this whimsical way of channeling because you never know what stories will appear. Sometimes it’s about a King in a faraway kingdom, sometimes a mermaid searching for her home.
Are you feeling any particular end-of-year vibes that you think best sums up 2025?
As 2025 draws to a close, and with it, a numerology 9 year of completion, I can feel the final chapters of old stories gently closing. I’m not a numerologist, but I notice how this energy is showing up in my life. Deep-rooted fears, lingering shadows, and outdated beliefs are rising to the surface, asking to be seen, felt, and released.
We are collectively moving from force to flow, from striving to allowing, from performing to simply being.
It feels as though we are not merely turning a page, but closing an entire book so that a new story can finally begin. Many of the lessons have now integrated, and we’re ready to move forward. The energy feels lighter, more open, with new opportunities, new people, and new ideas beginning to flow in.
Any final words you would like to add?
For final words, I pulled a card to see what the Universe wants to share with everyone here:

Life isn’t a race to outpace others — it’s a marathon you run for yourself.
Life isn’t a race to outpace others — it’s a marathon you run for yourself.
We may seem to share the same track, but each of us is actually on our own course. At times, you might glance over and see someone running beside you, and it creates the illusion that you’re behind. But in truth, no two tracks are the same.
The goal isn’t to win against others, because there’s no single measure of success. It’s not about speed or distance, nor is there a right or wrong way to run your race. Instead of measuring how far or fast you’ve gone, ask yourself: Have I enjoyed the run? Was I present for each step? How much of myself have I truly poured into this journey?
As 2025 comes to a close, I hope you take a moment to notice where your sense of completion lies. I hope you’ve allowed yourself to move at your own pace, in your own time, to celebrate both the small and the big milestones along the way.
It was never about crossing a finish line to prove your worth. You’ve always been worthy of the trophy, simply for being here.
You don’t need to arrive anywhere to be celebrated, because every step has always been worth celebrating. And in our eyes, you are, and have always been, a winner.
