Global Phenomenon CATS Returns to Hong Kong This Summer at WestK’s Xiqu Centre

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary musical CATS is set to make its Hong Kong comeback this August, playing at the Grand Theatre of Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District from August 6 to 16.

The production, which has been seen by more than 73 million people across 30 countries since its 1981 premiere, brings its signature blend of fantastical set design, inspired choreography, and the timeless hit “Memory” back to local audiences. Based on T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats,” the musical features Lloyd Webber’s magnificent score and the creative vision of original team members John Napier (design), Gillian Lynne (choreography), and Trevor Nunn (direction).

Hong Kong’s relationship with CATS runs deep—its last appearance became a must-see event, and this summer’s return invites both longtime fans and a new generation to experience the Jellicle Ball live on stage.
