Japanese botanical oral care brand diem has officially launched in Hong Kong, introducing a line of products that blend minimalist design with skincare-grade formulas.
The diem collection includes Botanical Mouthwash, Botanical Toothpaste, and Gum-Protecting Toothbrushes. The mouthwash is certified as a quasi-drug by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Its formula is infused with up to ten skincare-grade botanical extracts, including tea catechins, rosemary, and chrysanthemum, to moisturize the oral cavity and provide long-lasting freshness.

The Botanical Toothpaste utilizes a patented formula with spherical silica for deep cleaning that protects and repairs enamel. It is infused with low-allergen extracts like sweet orange and clove bud for antibacterial properties and inflammation relief.
The brand’s aesthetic is a key differentiator. The products feature sleek, silver-grey matte tones and transparent bottles, designed to function as stylish bathroom accessories rather than mundane necessities. The name “diem” is derived from the Latin “Carpe Diem,” reflecting a philosophy of delighting in and enhancing everyday moments.

The full product range is now available for purchase. The Botanical Mouthwash (500mL) retails for HK$88 and comes in three flavors: Rose Aroma Mint, Ginger Aroma Mint, and Lime Bergamot Aroma Mint. The Botanical Toothpaste (90g) is priced at HK$59, and the Toothbrushes, available in Ash (charcoal) or Rime (silver-ion) variants, cost HK$29 each.
diem’s products are currently available at HKTV Mall and will be on shelves at all Matsumoto Kiyoshi stores across Hong Kong in early October.
