Olaf is officially off his leash. Starting early May, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) will unleash a groundbreaking, free-roaming robotic Olaf inside World of Frozen – and yes, he’s ready for selfies, chaotic chats, and those signature warm hugs.
This isn’t your average meet-and-greet. Walt Disney Imagineering has brought the snowman to life using next-gen robotics and reinforcement learning, creating a self-walking character who actually moves like Olaf. Expect that wobbly walk, endless curiosity, and a smile that never melts.

He’ll be hanging out in Arendelle Forest, joined by the kingdom’s friendliest citizens, just in time for the grand finale of Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th anniversary celebration (which wraps on June 7). But Olaf isn’t the only surprise. Over in Grizzly Gulch, Chip ‘n’ Dale are running the “Lucky Nugget Spin,” while Lord Henry Mystic and his monkey Albert have started greeting guests at Mystic Point.

For mega Frozen fans: book the Frozen Suite, grab HKDL-exclusive Olaf summer collections, or snack on new themed sweets at Golden Crocus Inn. Grab the “Happier Together” ticket deal – get 25% off regular 1-Day tickets when two or more visit, saving up to HK$470.
HKDL’s 20th anniversary celebration is now entering its most electrifying chapter as it races toward the grand finale on June 7. Guests can soak up every last drop of the party, with anniversary-exclusive experiences including “Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!” the resort’s largest-ever parade “Friendtastic!,” and the nighttime spectacular “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky”.
