Sichuan Verandah Opens at Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour With Customizable Spice Levels and Bold Bistro Energy

A new Chinese bistro has landed in North Point. Sichuan Verandah, located on the second floor of Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong, brings bold Sichuan flavors to a light-filled, garden-inspired space overlooking the harbor. The restaurant opened April 14 with a menu designed for casual sharing, elevated execution, and a playful approach to heat.

The “Spice Challenge” card accompanies every menu, helping diners determine their preferred spice level across five tiers—from “Baby Spice” for beginners to “Spice Master” for those seeking maximum heat. To mark the opening, a 15 percent discount on all food items runs through May 31.

Menu Highlights

The culinary lineup spans classic Sichuan dishes with customizable spice. Mapo Tofu (HK$148) arrives with soft tofu, Wagyu beef, and fermented broad bean paste. Poached Sliced Beef in Chili Oil (HK$228) offers tender beef in a fiery broth. For those who prefer less heat, Wok-fried Spicy Chicken (HK$198) and Dan Dan Noodles (HK$78) are also available with adjustable spice levels.

Starters include Sichuan Cold Noodles (HK$68), Spicy Wontons in Chili Sauce (HK$88), and Smoked Tea Duck (HK$168). Vegetable dishes such as Dry-fried Green Beans (HK$98) and Stir-fried A-Choy with Garlic (HK$88) round out the menu.
