Watsons Hong Kong is celebrating 185 years with a nostalgic new destination. The health and beauty retailer opened a Heritage Concept Store on Nathan Road in Yau Ma Tei on June 30, transforming the neighborhood into a retro-inspired check-in spot that pays tribute to AS Watson’s legacy as Hong Kong’s first pharmacy to introduce Western medicine.

The store is designed around a classic dispensary theme, featuring Watsons’ signature green color, a vintage gold signboard, patterned walls, arched structures, and old-style signage. Three must-snap photo corners include a Traditional Medicine Cabinet, a Retro Vanity Corner with a round mirror and wooden dressing table, and a Vintage Bathroom-Themed Zone with retro tiles and curved architectural details.
Shoppers can also visit a free retro newspaper photo booth. With any purchase, they can take a photo and print a personalized “front-page headline” — a shareable keepsake.

Exclusive anniversary products include a limited-edition “Watjai” plush series reimagining three Watsons mascots in retro style, and a “Love Your Organs” blind box collection that turns the five internal organs into adorable characters. Watsons has also partnered with Biore, Colgate, and Darlie for retro-themed packaging, while PARKnSHOP, Fortress, and Watsons Water are rolling out their own 185th anniversary collectibles — including lightbox-style magnets, a retro film camera, and a vintage bottle opener.
